How the world work
Central Idea: people actions impact our worlds water.
Reflection - Dana Point Ocean Institute
This is a reflection on my flied trip to Dana piont
Please answer the following questions, reflecting on your experience today at the Ocean Institute, Dana Point.
I find interesting that an fish’s heart is so small. I think that seeing an sea lion was cool.
I learned that moon jellies don’t hurt when you touch them. I learn that some plankton can swim but they are not strong enough to be good at it.
I learned that there is tons of plankton in the sea floor. I learned what the sea floor looks like. I learned what an plankton starfish arm looks like.z
It some actions we take will kill animals and we will not knew what is it doing to the Earth.
I can reuse things more so it does not go to the sea pick up plastice bags before it get to the sea and trash so that is what we can do. I can tell people what I know so they know.
- What did you find interesting?

- What did you learn while on land at the Ocean Institute?
I learned that moon jellies don’t hurt when you touch them. I learn that some plankton can swim but they are not strong enough to be good at it.
- What did you learn while on the boat at the Ocean Institute?
I learned that there is tons of plankton in the sea floor. I learned what the sea floor looks like. I learned what an plankton starfish arm looks like.z
- How do people’s actions affect the marine (ocean) ecosystem?
It some actions we take will kill animals and we will not knew what is it doing to the Earth.
- How can you apply what you learned today to your life? Is there anything you can do to try and help our ocean, its ecosystem, and our Earth’s water supply?
I can reuse things more so it does not go to the sea pick up plastice bags before it get to the sea and trash so that is what we can do. I can tell people what I know so they know.
Water Testing Reflection
This Is a reflection on the water in are wetland.
1.What was your prediction?
I thought it would be good because the plants are like on big filter.
2.What was your result?
We got 0ppm for the testing.
3.What does the result show you about the backyard habitat?
That means it is good because an average of copper in the water is 0.03 and the highest is 0.06.
4.How do we contribute positively or negatively to the water quality as a neighborhood
community? Will it depends on what we are doing it can be positively or negatively.
5. Go back to the intro video. Would you drink the habitat water? What have you learned so far? I will drink the water for 100 dollars but I won't drink it for nothing. I learn that the wetlands water is unsafe to drink .

Safari Park Reflection
This is a reflection on my field trip on safari park.
I learn that the Safari Park recycles their water. I have learn that they do it little by little first use an big filter then one that get small and small. Also that when they do clean it they don´t drink it or give it to the animals they water the plants with it. I also learn that carol can help clean water. This what I learn about how they clean the water.
This can connects with the IB unit by tells us that the Safari Park's actions are helping to save water. Also the central Idea is people´s actions impact our world´s drinkable water supply and there are doing good at saving water. I test for nitrate in tap water and after going through a wetland water and before water. The results are 0.0ppm, 0.0ppm and 0.25ppm.
This what I did and learn how it connects to our IB unit.
